The Salvation Riders Community of Christ in Norway

The Salvation Riders MC is the first motorcycle club in the world to have been started by The Salvation Army. Today we have 11 members and 4 prospects and one "hangaround" in Norway

We are a christian motorcycle club that was founded the 30th of june 2001 at the Congress in Oslo. Our President Odd Arild Olsen had a vision of starting a motorcycle club within the Salvation Army in november i 2000. The vision was announced to the leadership of the Salvation Army in Norway, and the vision became a reality.

Our members meets all kind of  bikers in the MC environment in our district. In other words, we go to meetings and partys arranged by the clubs in our district.

Each year, the Salvation Army arrange a yearly congress in Oslo. There is a parade in "Karl Johans gate" (the road that leads to the castle), and we ride behind on the motorcycles.

The purpose of the club is to deliver the good news of Jesus Christ to other people, and show others that he can mean a lot to people today, and that he is our Lord and Saviour.

Our vision is:

·         to be a witness for Jesus in the MC environment

·         to have something to offer youth in the danger zone

·         to have something to offer rehabilitated people

·         to build bridges among ministries

·         to see people saved and born again

·        to see people renewed in spirit, soul and body
